The control of humidity levels at extreme low temperatures presents unique difficulties that the MicroCool system is perfectly poised to address. Cold stores generally hold large quantities of vegetables and perishable goods which can deteriorate rapidly in low humidity conditions.
The chillers and coolers used in these applications “strip” the air of any water thus drastically reducing the humidity level in the cold store. This water deficit needs to be replaced to maintain the correct humidity levels in the cold store.
The amount of water required to raise the humidity level at these low temperatures is extremely small, therefore the MicroCool system must be carefully calculated to add just the right amount of humidity under varying conditions. Fork lift and personnel traffic can quickly change the level needing a fast response from the system.
MicroCool controllers and systems react very quickly to the humidity deficit and use different stages of nozzles to speed up the recovery process if required. Sectioning controllers placed on each cold store can react immediately to the signal giving a very fast reaction time.
